New Delhi: Two minor girls have allegedly been sexually assaulted by juveniles in two separate incidents in the national capital in the last 24 hours, police said on Friday.
In the first incident, a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her juvenile neighbour at the servant quarters near Jodhpur house in the heart of the national capital here this morning, police said.
The incident took place around 9 AM when the victim was playing outside her residence when the boy lured her to the room on some pretext and sexually assaulted her.
As the girl started crying, the locals informed police who rushed to the spot and apprehended the juvenile. The girl was sent for medical examination.
The juvenile accused was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and sent to a correction home.
A case under relevant sections of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code was registered at Tilak Marg police station.
The second incident took place in Central Delhi's Patel Nagar area where a four-year-old girl was allegedly molested by four juvenile who were playing with her yesterday.
The juvenile, who lived in the nearby area, allegedly touched the girl inappropriately while playing with her.
The incident came to light when the victim narrated her ordeal to her mother, who later reported the incident to the police.
The boys who are in the age group from 9-13 years were all apprehended by the police. A case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and POCSO was registered at Patel Nagar police station.
