In Muzaffarnagar district, 60-year-old Jagmal, a resident of Palda village, died yesterday after icy winds from the northern parts of the country resulted in a drop of minimum temperature.

According to Met department, temperatures fell markedly in Allahabad, Meerut divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.

It was appreciably above normal in Jhansi division, above normal in Kanpur division, below normal in Moradabad, Meerut divisions and was normal in the remaining divisions of the state.

Lowest minimum temperature over the state was 1.8 degree Celsius recorded at Naziabad.

It said that warned that dense fog would occur at few places over the state tomorrow.
