Gorakhpur: Ten more people succumbed to
Japanese encephalitis in the past three days, taking the death
count from the illness in Uttar Pradesh's eastern region to
195 this year.
All the fresh deaths occurred in BRD Medical College
Hospital here, Additional Director (Health) U K Srivastava
said today.
Four died Sunday and the rest in the past two days,
he said adding 22 more patients were admitted to BRD Medical
College Hospital.
As many as 166 people were undergoing treatment at
the BRD Medical College and other government hospitals, he
said.
