Kanpur: In order to prevent people from
getting stuck in traffic snarls, a 104-km-long ring road will
be constructed around the industrial city.
"To make the city free from traffic problems, 104-km-
long ring road will be constructed around the city. Ministry
of Road, Transport and Highways has appointed a company which
will present its report and initial designs," Coal Minister
and MP from Kanpur Sri Prakash Jaiswal said.
Talks between local administration, national highway
authority, Kanpur development authority and UP Public Work
department are on regarding the project, he said.
Five long bridges, 17 small bridges, three flyovers,
six railway overbridges, fifteen underpasses for vehicles and
14 underpasses for people will be constructed on the ring
