16 injured in a group clash in UP

Sixteen people were on Saturday injured in an alleged cross-fire between two groups which clashed over a land dispute soon after offering prayers at an Idgah in Basi village here, police said.

Idgah in Basi village here, police said.

"There was an exchange of fire between the two factions,
soon after they came out from the Idgah after offering
prayers, over an old land dispute," DSP Shiv Ram Yadav said.
"One of the persons involved in the clash has been
arrested," he said, without giving any further details.

The injured were rushed to a district hospital, he said.
