3 women killed in road mishap

3 women pilgrims, en route to Govardhan hill in the district, were killed when the tempo they were travelling in collided with a private bus.

Mathura: Three women pilgrims, en route to Govardhan hill in the district, were on Monday killed when the tempo they were travelling in collided with a private bus near Ading village, police said.
While one woman, Puspha Bali, died on the spot, two others succumbed to their injuries during treatment at a hospital, they said, adding that all three belonged to Jalandhar.

According to police, the three women were on their way to offer prayers at Govardhan hill when the tempo they were travelling collided with the bus.

Locals resorted to brick-batting and damaged the bus after the driver escaped from the spot, police said.
