Muzaffarnagar: Police on Saturday seized 31
quintal adulterated mawa (thickened milk), which was being
taken to Delhi in a truck here.
Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted the truck on
Saharanpur-Delhi highway and seized 31 quintal synthetic mawa,
being taken to the national capital, DSP Shash Sekhar Singh
said.
Driver and conductor of the truck have been arrested, he
said.
The raid comes ahead of Diwali when the demand for sweets
is high.
