Lucknow: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas is all set to hold a `Janviswas Rally` in Amethi, the parliamentary constituency of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday.
According to the sources, Vishwas is likely to be stationed here till the General Elections while today
he is likely to take on the Gandhi scion.
Meanwhile, the AAP leader is already expecting that political miscreants may try to disrupt his today`s rally, since yesterday the party`s press conference being addressed by Kumar Vishwas was briefly disrupted by a youth who threw an egg and raised slogans against the poet-turned politician.
The youth was identified as Saif Jafari, is said to be the spokesman of Mulayam Singh Youth Brigade`s Bijnore unit.
As the press meet started, Jafari threw an egg towards Vishwas and waived a paper stating that Vishwas had hurt religious sentiments of both majority and minority communities and it "will not be tolerated".
Jafari, a native of Bijnore, was later nabbed by the AAP workers and handed over to the police.
However, Vishwas described the incident as a political conspiracy of opposition parties which feel threatened with the growing popularity of AAP.
Vishwas, who is tipped to contest from Amethi, a seat represented by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, termed it as a "frustration" on the part of the opposition parties.
If these political parties think that by throwing eggs, inks, organising attacks they can win elections they should better look towards Delhi, he said.
Vishwas was addressing the press conference after presiding over a function in which over 2000 traders joined AAP in Lucknow.
Even though the AAP will release its first list of candidate for the upcoming General Elections only after January 15, sources with the party said that Kumar Viswas was most likely to get the ticket from Amethi, better known as the bastion of Rahul Gandhi.
