Lucknow: With the Budget session of Uttar
Pradesh Assembly likely to start on a stormy note on Thursday as
the Opposition plans to corner the government on law and order
issue, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sukhdeo Rajbhar today held an all
party meeting.
"During the meeting the Speaker requested the leaders
of all the political parties to extend cooperation in smooth
conduct of the House as per the parliamentary traditions," an
official spokesman said.
On behalf of the ruling BSP, Chief Minister Mayawati
assured of full cooperation.
The session will start with Governor`s address wherein
details of decisions taken in the interests of the people and
achievements of the government will be presented, besides
annual state budget for the next fiscal, she said.
Among those who attended the meeting were SP`s Ambika
Chaudhary, Om Prakash Singh (BJP), Pramod Tiwari (Congress)
and Kokab Hameen (RLD).
The leaders also assured the Speaker to cooperate for
the peaceful and smooth functioning of the House.
