Allahabad HC gets 8 new judges

Allahabad High Court Chief Justice S R Alam on Monday administered the oath of office to eight newly-appointed additional judges, raising the total number of judges to 77 as against the sanctioned strength of 160.

eight newly-appointed additional judges, raising the total
number of judges to 77 as against the sanctioned strength of
160.

The judges are Justices Pradeep Kumar Singh, Ram Surat
Ram Maurya, B Amit Sthalekar, Pankaj Naqvi, Manoj Misra,
Ramesh Sinha, Sunita Agarwal and Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya.

Justice Upadhyaya was practising at the Lucknow bench,
while the remaining seven were carrying out their legal
practice at the High Court here.
