Lucknow: Kicking off election campaign
for his newly floated Lok Manch, Amar Singh on Friday held a road
show and addressed a "satta parivartan" rally on the outskirts
of the state capital on Friday, declaring his party nominee for
Mohanlalganj Assembly seat.

Singh held a road show en route to Mohanlalganj area
on the outskirts of the state capital from the airport in an
apparent show of strength.

Later, addressing the rally, Singh promised to give
thirty per cent tickets to youth and said that the process of
registration of his party with the Election Commission was on
and things would become clearer by June-July.

Announcing the candidature of Paridheen Pasi as
nominee of his party, he promised to work for the development
of the area by linking canals and providing free power and
water to farmers.

He also promised that he would not have statues
installed and would check corruption.

Expressing concern over alleged farmer suicide, he
took a pledge from them that they wouldn`t resort to such a
step.

The Lok Manch leader who has been supporting a
separate Purvanchal state said that for the development of the
region he is ready to support anyone, adding that the doors of
his party are open to all except the SP and the BJP.
Several Samajwadi Party workers joined Singh`s Lok
Manch on the occasion.
