Muzaffarnagar: Armed robbers allegedly looted cash and jewellery worth lakhs of rupees after holding a family hostage in the Fulat village here in the district, police said Tuesday.
A gang of six robbers barged into the house of the manager of Arbia Madarsa Rahmaniya, Maulana Hifzur Rehman and held him and his family hostage last night in the Ratenpuri area and later decamped with the booty, they said.
A case has been registered in this connection while the further probes are on, they added.
