Etah: Motorcycle-borne assailants fired at the vehicle of chairman of Sakeet nagarpanchayat and local BSP leader Radha Devi following which one of the
attackers was nabbed near village Nagla puni here, police said.
Radha's brother Surendra and cousin Shivom were
travelling in the SUV when the assailants fired several shots
at the vehicle yesterday.
The duo chased the assailants and caught one them
identified as Radheyshyam of Firozabad district.
A country-made pistol was recovered from his
possession and a case of attempt to murder registered against
four accused in this connection.
Radheyshyam told the police that he had been hired
along with the other accused to murder Radha.
Radha's husband Lokmandas Sarraf was killed four years
ago over election enimity.
