Badaun: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials will reportedly examine the graves of victims of Badaun gang-rape, who were murdered around two months back.
The examination is likely to take place today after water level of river Ganga receded making it possible for the officials to reach the graves.
Two attempts were earlier made by the CBI to exhume the bodies which had to be abandoned after rising water levels made it difficult to exhume the bodies.
The horrific incident came to light when the bodies of the two minor sisters, aged 14 and 15 years, were found hanging from a tree in the village.
After facing severe criticism, the state government handed over the investigation of the murder to CBI.
The CBI is exhuming the mortal remains of the two sisters so that fresh autopsy can be carried out to determine the cause of death.
