BJP, SP lock horns over law and order situation in UP

Ghaziabad: The BJP and the SP leaders on Saturday launched scathing attacks on each other for disturbing law and order in Uttar Pradesh.
The Samajwadi Party senior leader Rajendra Chaudhary, while accusing Opposition of inciting violence in the state, said that law will not spare those responsible for spreading lawlessness in UP.

Commenting on the day`s happenings in the state, BJP UP Incharge, Laxmikant Bajpai said that the word `law and order` doesn`t exist in UP government`s dictionary.
BJP today demanded that the Samajwadi Party-led government in Uttar Pradesh be immediately dismissed over alleged anti-people policies and deterioration in law and order situation.
In a memorandum addressed to the UP Governor, BJP workers led by Amethi district unit president D S Yadav stated that "following the policy of appeasement of a particular community the majority of the people in the state is leading a life in a fearful atmosphere..."
They also demanded that fake cases slapped against BJP workers be withdrawn, accused police personnel be punished and the state government be dismissed at once.
