Lucknow: BJP staged dharnas and burnt
effigies to protest against fuel price hike on the last day of
its three-day-long state-wide agitation on Saturday.
Party workers, including women activists, held protests
across the state against price rise and burnt effigies of the
Union and Uttar Pradesh governments, BJP spokesman Hriday
Narain Dixit said here.
Protest meetings were also held in rural areas to expose
the wrong policies of both the governments towards the issue,
Dixit said.

The party would actively participate in the July 5
`bharat bandh` called by the entire opposition on the issue,
he added.
