Ghaziabad: Slamming the Uttar Pradesh
Government for its alleged failure in checking crime against
women and dalits, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal
Nishank here claimed BJP will come to power in the state after
upcoming Assembly polls scheduled for next year.
"The Mayawati-led government has failed to check crime
against women and dalits in the state. Their economic
condition has also worsened under her rule... In the absence
of a strong alternative, BJP will capture power in Uttar
Pradesh after the upcoming Assembly polls," Nishank said while
addressing a function here last night.
Criticising the UPA government for taking action
against yoga guru Ramdev in Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi a
month ago, the Chief Minister said past experience points that
whenever any government confronted saints, it lost its
existence and the Manmohan Singh government will meet the same
He said if the BJP comes to power at the Centre, it
will bring back black money stashed in foreign countries.
