BJP to launch agitation to expose BSP, SP

Lucknow: Charging the BSP and Samajwadi Party
leaders with giving their personal interests precedence over
those of the people reeling under inflation, BJP today said
it would soon launch an agitation to expose the double
standards of these parties.

"While parties like the BSP, Samajwadi Party and the
RJD oppose the UPA government over inflation outside, when it
was time to nail the government in the Lok Sabha over the cut
motion to protest rising prices of essential commodities and
petroleum goods, these very parties bailed out the union
government", BJP vice president Kalraj Misra told newspersons
here.

"What happened in the lok sabha on that day only brought
to the fore the double standards of these parties and BJP
would launch an agitiation to expose them in their influence
areas in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar," Misra said.

Charging the ruling Congress with misusing CBI, he said
BSP and Samajwadi Party leadership gave priority to their
personal interests and for saving their skins betrayed the
people suffering immence hardships due to inflation.

The BJP leader said the details of the agitation would be
decided in a week`s time and his party would reach out to the
people upto the village level and expose the real face of
these parties.

To a question on the "clean up" drive in the ruling BSP,
Misra termed it as a gimmick aimed at diverting people`s
attention from the failures of the Mayawati government.

"There is no honesty in the tall claims being made by
the BSP leadership over expelling criminal elements in the
party", Misra said adding that the BSP president was fully
aware of the background of such people when they were allowed
into the party.

He played down reports that party MP, Varun Gandhi showed
disrespect to freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad in
Allahabad yesterday by going inside the park with his shoes on
saying it was unintentional and was a slip on his part.
