Lucknow: A two-day meet of the BJP`s Uttar Pradesh unit`s executive meet will begin in the temple town of Vrindavan Saturday.
The high-level meeting will be addressed by both Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah and union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, said state unit spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak.
Party leaders performed a `parikrama` of Govardhan Friday and prayed for success in the forthcoming state assembly bypolls and to give them enough strength to root out the "corrupt" Samajwadi Party (SP) government from the state in 2017.
State party president Laxmikant Bajpayi said the party was not only focussed on exposing the Akhilesh Yadav government but was also trying to evolve an agenda of its own. "After the state executive, we will also come out with a roadmap for the people of the state," he said.
Political resolutions to expose the "communal bent" of the SP government and other political activity related to reaching out to the grass root level cadres is also likely to be taken up at the state executive, a senior office bearer said.
