BSP collecting money for Maya`s birthday bash: SP

Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party on Wednesday
accused the ruling BSP in Uttar Pradesh of collecting huge
money from the public for celebrating the birthday of its
supremo Mayawati on January 15.
The state government was also spending money for
celebrating the occasion, party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary
said in a statement here.
"Funds are being collected secretly for the Chief
Minister`s birthday," he said adding the Information and other
government departments were also spending money for the
occasion.

The party urged the Governor to look into the matter,
the statement said.
