of slain former minister Jamuna Prasad Nishad for their
alleged involvement in anti-party activities, party sources
said here on Wednesday.

"Rajmati and her son Amrendra Nishad have been
expelled from the party," a party spokesman said here.

Rajmati has also been asked to resign from the Uttar
Pradesh Women Commission as she has decided to contest
Pipraich by-poll as an independent candidate.

The Pipraich seat fell vacant after the death of
Rajmati`s husband in a road accident in November last year.
The election for the seat is scheduled on May 8 and BSP has
decided not to field any candidate in the by-poll.

The counting for the seat will be held on May 13.
