BSP leader booked for assaulting police officer

Ambedkar Nagar: A case was on Tuesday
registered against 11 persons, including a local BSP leader,
for allegedly assaulting a police officer in Bhithi area here,
police said.
Bhithi police station in-charge Anil Mishra was
assaulted allegedly by a local BSP leader Suresh and his aides
in Benipur village where he had gone to sort out a land
dispute between two parties yesterday, they said.
Mishra, who sustained serious injury on his head, has
been referred to trauma centre at Lucknow, police said.
