Bulandshahr: In a setback to Bahujan Samaj
Party in Uttar Pradesh, sitting MLA from Shikarpur Assembly
seat Vasudev Singh on Monday quit the party and joined Congress.
Singh had won from Shikarpur(SC) constituency in 2007 on
BSP ticket. After delimitation, he had tried for nomination
from Khurja (SC) seat, which was refused by the party.
After resigning from BSP, he joined Congress along with
some leaders from Khurja district including Subhash Sharma,
Dushyant Singh Chauhan and former MLA Vasik Rana.
They will be formally welcomed to the Congress fold at a
rally in Bulandshahar tomorrow, which will be addressed by
Rahul Gandhi, party leader Mohan Prakash said in Delhi.
