Lucknow: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam
Singh Yadav on Saturday said the BSP would be its main rival in
next year`s assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.

"Though the Congress and the BJP will also be there,
our main fight will be with the BSP in the upcoming assembly
polls in UP," he told party workers here.
Yadav alleged the Mayawati government had ignored
interests of farmers and the poor and had institutionalised
corruption.

Taking potshots at Mayawati, he said she calls herself
"dalit ki beti" but wore sandals costing Rs 15 lakh.

The SP president said his party would form the next
government in UP after the assembly polls and at the Centre
after 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Earlier, a meeting of the SP Parliamentary Board
discussed ways to make party`s Kranti Rathyatra, commencing
September 12, a success.
It also discussed issues like flood situation and
shortage of fertilisers.
