Greater Noida: IG Meerut Sujeet Pandey, who successfully headed the probe into the Bulandshahr gang-rape incident, on Tuesday made a blunder by revealing the name of the father of the rape victim in the press conference.
The distressed father, who is the complainant in the case, was put infront of the glaring cameras of the mediapersons.
The press conference was held by the IG to inform the press about the Bulandshahr gang-rape probe.
When the reporters countered the IG on revealing the identity of the relative's name, the annoyed top cop hit back saying, in which rule book it is forbidden. He further took on the media saying that even you (reporters) go to rape victims' families and interview them.
According to Supreme Court order, the identity of the rape victims should not be revealed.
