CBI produces last witness in Kavita Rani murder case

CBI produced its last witness in a case related to the suspected murder of Kavita Rani, a professor of fine arts in Chaudhary Charan Singh University missing since October 2006, whose body has not been recovered yet.



Ghaziabad: CBI on Saturday produced its last
witness in a case related to the suspected murder of Kavita
Rani, a professor of fine arts in Chaudhary Charan Singh
University missing since October 2006, whose body has not been
recovered yet.
In the special CBI court of A K Singh, the
investigative agency produced Assistant Superintendent of
Police Vinay Kumar as its witness.

The main accused Ravindra Pradhan was allegedly killed
in Dasna district jail here in 2008.
Three Uttar Pradesh former ministers are also accused
in the this case for having illicit relationship with the
Meerut professor. The prosecution has produced 31 witnesses in
this case.

The defence will start its proceedings from February 24.
