Lucknow: The Budget Session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly began on a chaotic note on Wednesday.
As soon as Governor Ram Naik began addressing the joint session of the state Legislature, MLAs belonging to the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party started protesting and raising slogans.
The MLAs were protesting against deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
They later staged a walkout of the Assembly demanding imposition of President's Rule in the state.
Amid the din, the House was adjourned till 12:20 pm.
Just days back, even the Governor had expressed concern over deteriorating law and order situation in the state currently ruled by Akhilesh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party.
