CMO murder: Court not to take note of chargesheet

A local court, hearing BP Singh murder case, refused to take cognisance of the chargesheet on the grounds that the probe was not complete.

Lucknow: A local court, hearing CMO BP
Singh murder case, on Thursday refused to take cognisance of the
chargesheet filed by the Lucknow police, which said Deputy
CMO YS Sachan hired shooters for the killing, on the grounds
that the probe was not complete.

The court directed investigating officer Abhimanyu
Dhar Dwivedi to file the charge sheet only after the probe is
complete.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Rajesh Upadhayay asked why
it was filed in a hurry and whether the time frame for filling
it was ending to which the officer replied in the negative.

In the charge sheet, police said CMO Singh threatened
to file cases against Sachan of financial irregularities and
fraud, after which the latter hired shooters for the killing.
