CMO`s murder: Two PILs filed in HC

The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday fixed May 18 for further hearing on a petition seeking a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in the Family Welfare and Health Department in UP in the wake of CMO BP Singh`s murder.

Lucknow: The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday
fixed May 18 for further hearing on a petition seeking a CBI
probe into alleged irregularities in the Family Welfare and
Health Department in UP in the wake of CMO BP Singh`s murder.

The Lucknow Bench of the Court, comprising Justice
Pradeep Kant and Justice Ved Pal, passed the order on a PIL
filed by a local scribe.

Another Division Bench directed the state government
to provide security to petitioner Prince Lenin.

Lenin had also filed a PIL seeking a CBI probe into
CMO Singh`s murder.

In his petition, he had alleged bungling in the
department.

BP Singh was gunned down in the state capital on
April two while taking morning stroll.
