Cold wave conditions persisted in parts of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday with some areas witnessing heavy fog resulting in an accident which claimed two lives.

parts of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday with some areas witnessing heavy
fog resulting in an accident which claimed two lives.

A doctor couple was killed and their three children were
injured when their car was hit by a truck due to heavy fog in
Kunda area of Pratapgarh district this morning, taking the
toll due to cold or fog related incidents in the state to 91.

MeT office here said that temperatures remained below
normal in most divisions including Kanpur, Agra, Gorakhpur,
Varanasi, Faizabad, Jhansi, Allahabad and Lucknow.

Agra remained the coldest place in the state recording
0.9 deg C, it said.
