Lucknow: Cold eased its grip over the plains of Uttar Pradesh as night temperatures rose at a number of places in the state.
Night temperature rose appreciably in Moradabad, Agra and Meerut divisions, according to the local Meteorological department.
The temperature was appreciably above normal in Agra and Meerut divisions and normal in the remaining divisions.
Etawah was the coldest place in the state with 6.1 degree Celsius.
The Met office has forcast that weather would be mainly dry and fog would occur at some places in east UP.
Rain, thundershowers would occur at some places over west UP and at isolated places in eastern district between February 4 to 6.
