College girl abducted by jilted lover

A girl was allegedly abducted by four persons at gunpoint while on her way to college,police said.

Muzaffarnagar: A girl was allegedly abducted
by four persons at gunpoint while on her way to college,
police said on Friday.

Sangita, a final year BA student, was going to her
campus on a motorbike with her maternal uncle when four
assailants came in a car and abducted her at gunpoint near
Shahpur village here yesterday, they said.

It is believed that jilted lover Sethu wanted to marry
Sangita and abducted her with the help of his three friends
when her family refused his wedding proposal.

Police have registered a case against Sethu and three
other persons Yashvir, Vedram and Begraj.

In another case a 20-year-old man was shot dead by three
youths at Banngad village in the district here yesterday.

"A case against Pushpender, Gagender and Jogender has
been registered and the search for them is on," City SP K B
Singh told here today.

Sanjeev was in love with a girl and was shot dead by
Pushpender, another lover of her, he added.
