Kanpur: An 18-year-old college student was
found dead at her residence here with her mother accusing
their neighbour of raping and killing the girl, police said
on Tuesday.
Anjali was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her home
in Nawabganj locality yesterday by her mother, who had gone
with her two other children and a neighbour to Bithoor for a
dip in the Ganga, they said.
The woman accused one of their neighbours of raping and
murdering her daughter.
A search is on to nab the neighbour, who fled after the
mother raised an alarm, police said.
