Kanpur: Some Congress workers on Thursday created a
ruckus at a press conference by a senior party leader in Kanpur,
alleging that Dalits had been ignored in ticket distribution
for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

Party workers raised slogans and created pandemonium when
Congress national secretary Ashok Tanwar was addressing the
media.

They alleged that grassroots workers and Dalits had been
ignored while selecting candidates for upcoming elections in
the state.
Tanwar was here to shortlist candidates for rural areas of
UP where the names of aspirants have not yet been finalised.
