Congress leader vandalises, robs cash from toll plaza

Ghaziabad: A local Congress leader was Saturday
booked for allegedly vandalising furniture and looting Rs
8,000 in cash from a toll plaza at Hapur, police

The incident took place when Karim Khan`s car was stopped
for toll tax by the staff there, Circle Officer Rajesh Bharti

When Khan refused to pay the fee his vehicle was stopped
from going beyond toll plaza barrier, he said, adding the
Congress leader eventually paid the amount but came back with
some persons, including two policemen, and went on a rampage
destroying furniture of the plaza besides looting Rs 8,000 in

Based on a complaint filed by the staff of the toll
plaza, an FIR has been registered against Khan.
