Muzaffarnagar: A Dalit girl died
allegedly after committing suicide by consuming poison along
with her boyfriend, who is battling for his life, at Purkazi
town here in the district, police said on Saturday.
The incident took place last evening when Sushil Kumar
(20) and Baby (18) consumed poison after their families
opposed their relationship, they said.
The girl died, while the condition of the boy, who was
rushed to a nearby hospital, is stated to be serious, they
added.
In another case, a 28-year-old man was allegedly shot
dead over a love dispute by a man, who was also in love with
the same girl, in Kairana town here of the district, police
said today.
Shehzad was shot dead by Arshad here yesterday, they
said.
A case has been filed by the victim's father against
the accused, who is at large, police said.
