Court orders inquiry into rape charges against MLA

Etawah: A local court has passed an
order stating that the charges against six persons, including
BSP MLA Shiv Prasad Yadav, in connection with a rape case, be
investigated by the Inspector of Etawah police station.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate had yesterday issued
directives in this regard, SSP A K Raghav said here.

Besides the BSP MLA, the role of the main accused
Vinod Awasthi, who is the principal of the MLA`s school, and
four others including police officials would be probed by
Inspector Jitendra Parihar, Raghav said.

The MLA has suspended Awasthi from the post of
principal till the completion of inquiry.
