Kanpur: A Dalit woman was allegedly gangraped by five men following which a case has been registered in this regard, police said here Thursday.

The victim, resident of Baraijhal village, went missing on January 15, was found in an unconscious state near Bhauti area last night by her family members, who then bought her to the police station.

The victim has alleged in her FIR that Lalla Agnihotri, resident of the same village, and four unidentified men gangraped her, they said.

A case has been registered against five persons for allegedly assaulting the Dalit woman, police said today.

Investigations are on in the case, they said, adding efforts are on to nab the accused.
