Lucknow: As the Uttar Pradesh police finds hard to crack the Bulandshahr gang-rape case, another horrific incident of sexual assault of a teacher in a field along the state highway linking Delhi-Lucknow National Highway 24, has come to the fore.
The latest gang-rape case has put serious questions on the Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh government's ability to maintain law and order situation in the state.
The teacher was violated on Tuesday, when she was abducted by criminals and taken to nearby fields where she was gang-raped. The assailants videographed the entire crime incident and threatened to post it on social media sites if she complained.
A forensic team was rushed to the spot today morning to collect evidence of the heinous crime.
Already facing flak over the Bulandshahr gang-rape case, senior police officials led by the IG, DIG, SSP, City SP and SP (Crime) rushed to the spot and a case was lodged against three accused who are absconding.
Additional Superintendent of Police Samir Saurabh said the teacher was abducted and gangraped while she was going to school Tuesday morning.
He said that the accused later dumped her at Mathurapur on the national highway and escaped.
