Firozabad: A deputy jailor was on Monday injured when two undertrials attacked him inside the jail premises. Deputy Jailor Kamal Kishore Mishra was attacked by two jail inmates when he intervened in an argument they were having with a supervisor for having prohibited items in their meals, officials said.
The injured officer was rushed to a hospital.
Jail superintendent PN Pandey said strict action will be initiated against the inmates responsible for the act.
