Eight killed in road accident in UP

Eight people were killed and two others injured Friday morning when the tempo in which they were travelling collided with a truck in Rajghat area.

Raebareli: Eight people were killed and two others injured Friday morning when the tempo in which they were travelling collided with a truck in Rajghat area.

Police said the tempo was on its way to a temple in Lalganj when the accident took place under Bhadokhar police station limits, police said.

 Those killed have been identified as Harish Chandra Maurya (40), Sehdev (57), Shivchandra (35), Ram Harsh Yadav (50), Ramsingh (47), Amarpal (50), Rampyare (50) and Bindadeen (50), they said.

 Those injured have been admitted to hospital and a case has been registered, police added.
