Agra: An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped and strangulated to death by three persons in Hallanpura village of the district.
SP (Rural) Babita Sahu said the girl had gone to the fields carrying food for his father on Thursday.
However when she did not return, her family launched a search and found the girl`s body lying in a field.
Her post-mortem report has confirmed rape, Sahu said.
One of the three accused was later arrested and during interrogation, he confessed to have committed the crime in an inebriated state, the SP said, adding that hunt is on to nab the other two accused.
