Agra: A 72-year-old woman who lived alone was found murdered in Jaipur House area here late Saturday evening, an official said.
Heera Devi, widow of an ex-deputy director in the ministry of defence, was found strangled in her bed Saturday evening. Some gold ornaments were missing from her body, said an official.
The woman had three sons and one daughter. One of her sons works as a scientist with the ADRDE (Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment).
This is the fourth recent case of murder of senior citizens living alone in the city.
