Muzaffarnagar: The district authorities have closed the board examination centre at Bawala, after its superintendent was allegedly manhandled by some persons, who
demanded that unfair means be allowed during the exams.
"Following a complaint from the superintendent of the centre, it has been closed. The 500 examinees would be appearing in another centre," District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Bhim Singh said.
The centre superintendent Devender Kumar was beaten up and was threatened to allow students to use unfair means in the board exams, scheduled to commence in the state on March 17, they said.
