Farmer shot at over monetary dispute in UP

A 50-year-old farmer was shot at allegedly by two youths over a monetary dispute when he had gone to his fields at Kutesra village here, police said on Tuesday.

Muzaffarnagar: A 50-year-old farmer was shot at allegedly by two youths over a monetary dispute when he had gone to his fields at Kutesra village here, police said on Tuesday.

Prahlad got seriously injured in the incident yesterday and has been hospitalised, they said.

A case has been registered against two accused - Dinesh and Dushyant - who are absconding, police said.

In another incident, body of an unidentified man was found from the railway tracks on Delhi-Ambala route near Bhensi village here yesterday, police said.

It is being suspected that the victim fell off a running train.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and the matter is being investigated, police said.
