Father stabbed for protesting stalking of daughter in UP

A 65-year-old man was allegedly stabbed by four youths when he protested against the stalking of his daughter by one of them in Chakari area.

Kanpur: A 65-year-old man was allegedly stabbed by four youths on Saturday when he protested against the stalking of his daughter by one of them in Chakari area here, police said.

The accused, Aamir, along with his three friends stabbed the 22-year-old girl`s father this morning following which the four accused were booked by police, SP city Prabhakar Chaudhary said.
According to police, Aamir and the girl are neighbours and he was stalking her for some time now.

The girl`s father had even taken up the matter with Aamir`s family a few days back and apparently to take revenge, Aamir attacked him this morning along with his three friends, police said.

The victim was severely injured and is being treated in the hospital. His condition was stated to be critical, they said.

The four accused have been booked under Section 307 (attempt to murder), 326 (causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons) and other relevant sections, police informed.
No arrests have been made so far, police said, adding, they were trying to nab the four accused.
