Lucknow: An FIR was registered on Tuesday against former BJP district president of Rampur Dilip Saxena for allegedly posting content on Facebook against Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan.
The FIR was registered against the ex-BJP district president under Sections 153A,500 of IPC at Ganj Police station.
Azam Khan is a Cabinet minister in Akhilesh Yadav government in Uttar Pradesh. The powerful SP leader has won eight times from Rampur Assembly seat.
Last year a student of Class XII was arrested for allegedly uploading a controversial post attributed to senior UP minister Azam Khan on Facebook.
