Five booked for slaughtering cow in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: A case of cow slaughter
has been registered against five persons in Loni town near
here following a protest by the locals over the incident,
police said.

One of the five persons, who have been booked after a
complaint filed by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Block
president Karan Singh, has been detained and is being
questioned, police said.

The locals staged a protest after remains of the cow
were found in an open plot last evening, Assistant
Superintendent of Police Amit Verma said.
