Five police personnel, including a sub inspector, who were posted at Goverdhan police station in the district, have been suspended for dereliction of duty, a senior official said here on Saturday.

Mathura: Five police personnel, including a sub inspector, who were posted at Goverdhan police station in the district, have been suspended for dereliction of duty, a senior official said here on Saturday.

The police personnel have been suspended following a gang war which occurred in Dauseras village here on March 11, killing three persons, SP City, Shailesh Pandey said.

"The suspended police personnel are sub inspector Dharmesh Yadav, constables Jogendra, Satish, Istayaq Ali and Ramesh," he said.

"Of eleven miscreants wanted in the gang war, three have been nabbed while hunt for eight others and 18 history- sheeters earmarked in the village is on," Pandey said.

"In the raid conducted under heavy police force today, 20 stolen motorbikes and one tractor was also recovered," he said.
