Fog, cold waves prevail in UP, 0.5 degrees recorded minimum

Lucknow: Fog and cold wave conditions continued to disrupt normal life in most parts of Uttar Pradesh with Churk being the coldest place recording a low of 0.5 degree Celsius.

According to the Met department, night temperature fell appreciably in Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Faizabad and Allahabad division.

The temperature was below normal in Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Allahabad, Kanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Agra, Faizabad, Lucknow and Jhansi divisions but remained normal in Meerut division.

Minimum temperature was recorded at 1.5 degree Celsius in Mathura.

The weather would be dry and fog would occur at most places in the state tomorrow, MeT department said.
